Description
92 pts. "Blackberry, mulberry, clove, hazelnut and mint chocoate on the nose. It's medium-to-full-bodied with firm, tight-grained tannins and crisp acidity. Fresh and bright with flavorful layers of berries and spice." James Suckling
91 pts. "Beautifully textured, medium-bodied, and balance, it's a great value in high quality Cabernet Sauvignon." Jeb Dunnuck
Like previous vintages of this wine, winemaker Mike Januik relies on Novelty Hill’s estate vineyard Stillwater Creek on the Royal Slope of the Frenchman Hills to build the base for the wine, then blends in layered complexity by using grapes from a small selection of top Red Mountain and Wahluke Slope sites to further enhance flavors and mouthfeel.
Blend: 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec
