Description
An orange wine blend of Scheurebe, Müller-Thurgau and Gelber Muskateller. The Gelber Muskateller gives fine minerality and acidity that adds a lightness and vibrancy to this aromatic wine. The short skin-contact of 2 days also adds some green/tannic tension. Delicious stone-fruit / citrus with a delicate, zesty, and vibrant refreshing-bitter touch.
50% Scheurebe, 40% Müller-Thurgau, 10% Gelber Muskateller
The Scheurebe is macerated for 48 hours and both the Muller-Thurgau and Gelber Muskateller are macerated for 24 hours. Bottled January. Unfiltered.
From 25 year old vines planted to 3ha of loess and calcareous clay soils, the grapes were hand-harvested and vineyard sorted together on October 5th. The whole clusters were allowed to macerate for 2 days, followed by spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel lasting six weeks. The wine spends the entire time on lees and then bottled in January. Unfiltered.
