Description
Earlier this year, Alex Clark, founder of Fort Hamilton Whiskey, moved into his new production space and tasting room in Industry City, Brooklyn. Covered in the paraphernalia of the bottling and labeling process, barrels in a variety of sizes lining the floor awaiting the installation of racks, the space is unfinished only in final detail; the tasting room bar with its warm, brass glow is fully installed, the light fixtures acquired from the former Rouge Tomate space dangling patiently from the rafters. It takes little imagination to envision this neo-industrial space in summer, full of the hum of merry visitors with cocktails in hand, some posted on the other side of the picture window at the end of the bar, their elbows resting on the outdoor rail as they observe the courtyard below in happy repose.

Though age statements may vary as batches progress, this current batch is comprised of 4-year-old MGP distillate and 2½-year-old NY distillate.
Aromas of cardamom, turmeric, and apricot-chocolate bars with green peppercorn and orange zest on the palate; the backbone of rye grain makes this a perfect cocktailing whiskey
