Fitz-Ritter Pfalz Riesling Extra Trocken Sekt 750 ML

VARIETAL: 100% Riesling TERROIR: The grapes for this sparkling wine are carefully selected from neighboring vineyards in the Pfalz region. The rich & fertile loamy soil is ideal for Riesling. The second fermentation takes place in small pressure tanks (the Charmant method) and aged for 15-18 months on the lees, whereby the legal minimum is 9 months. The pressure in tank rises naturally to a very high 8 atmospheres, and after filtering and cooling to near freezing point which avoids any loss of sparkle, the bottling takes place next to the tanks in direct proximity. Sekt is the German word for sparkling wine. TASTING NOTES: A delicious dry sparkling wine with very fine sparkle and long-lasting effervescence. Combined fragrances of fresh fruit as well as, aromas ranging from apple to pineapple and tangerine. Clean, fresh, and well-balanced to enjoy. FOOD PAIRING: ideal with raw oysters, and with its hint of residual sugars hidden behind the crisp acidity, also with light cuisine, canapés.
