Tasting notes An exceptional AOC Martinique agricultural rum in the terroir of Martinique since 1779. This is a fine white rum, rich and very full in flavor with a complex aromas of tropical fruits, honey and cherry give this rum a fruity and refined nose. Its great finesse and good roundness in the mouth make it its strength of distinction. Estate Dillon is a producer of Rhum Agricole from the island of Martinique and can trace its history all the way back to 1690 to the original site of the distillery in Fort de France. It was set up by Arthur Dillon, a US soldier. Originally it produced sugar but in the 19th, century began producing rum. In 1928 a new distillery became operational. In 1967 Bordeaux Bardinet took over the production. Dillon Rhum’s are now distilled on Martinique and then shipped to France where they are aged and bottled.
